Crossville, on the Cumberland Plateau, is the “Golf Capital of Tennessee”.  Three (3) of the states’ “Top 10" courses are in Cumberland County.  With 216 holes on eleven courses and a lighted Par-3 course, there is something for everyone.  Some of the courses are private and the public courses rate very high on all golfers “must play” list.

Plateau golf courses are better than most golfers have an opportunity to play.  Both public and private courses have bluegrass tees, fairways and bent grass greens except Stonehenge which has all bent grass.  Some of the most beautiful scenery in the area is seen from the tees, fairways and greens.  We also have the best golfing weather in the Southern United States.  If you like golf you will love golfing on the Cumberland Plateau.

         6 Public Courses:

•  Stonehenge - Rated #1 golf course in Tennessee by Golf Digest in 1995.  Also rated as one of the “Top 10" places to play in Tennessee.  Full facilities are available. 

• Bear Trace - Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole challenging course located in Cumberland Mountain State Park.  Full facilities are available. 

• Deer Creek - Well maintained 18 hole layout in a wonderful country club community.  Full facilities are available. 

•  River Run Golf Club - A picturesque 18 hole layout by acclaimed golf course architect Ron Garl.  Similar physical features as Stonehenge.  Full facilities are available. 

•   Renegade Golf Club - An 18 hole layout on top of the mountain at Renegade Mountain Resort.  Also rated as one of the “Top 10" places to play in Tennessee.  Full facilities are included.

• 4  Seasons - An 18 hole challenging Par-3 lighted course offering individual or group instruction.  Full facilities are available.

  5 Private Courses:

Fairfield Glade Golf.  Fairfield Glade is a resort Community which has time shares, condos and single family houses. 

• Heatherhurst Brae and Crag course have 36 spectacular golf holes.  Heatherhurst is one of the three “Top 10" places to play in Tennessee.  Full facilities are available. 
   

• Dorchester Country Club - This course provides 18 challenging holes through mountain and  valley vistas.  Bring your camera for great shots.  Full facilities available.
   

•  Druid Hills Country Club - The original course in Fairfield Glade of which golfing great Sam  Snead was design consultant.  Full facilities are available. 

Lake Tansi Golf - This is one of the most popular courses on the Plateau and is located in Lake Tansi Village - a private / resort community which offers time shares, condos and single family houses.  Full facilities are available.
